Bought an alternator kit for my vw.
the alternator from Bosch is OK, but the bracket that comes with wath not straight, as when you put the alternator on it, you have 2mm differences of height from one side of the alternator shaft to the other !!!
So if you put the bracket and the alternator as is on the engine, your belt will not be straight !!!
I had to machine the bracket, and put some 2,5mm spacer to get the correct height for the alternator shaft, after putting it horizontally!!
