I purchased an alternator for my 74 VW Westphalia 1.8L engine. The online description said it was for Bay Window Buses - all years. It did NOT say it was only for the 1600cc engine. The "real" problem comes from the fact it will cost me the price of the part to ship it back to you. That makes you a "risk" to do business with. This is different than my experience with Just Kampers who have a USA operation. If you had provided "accurate" information, then I would understand - but I relied on your webpage information and now am stuck with an alternator I cannot use.
