The shipping takes a long time. I would wrather shop Paruzzi as it is much faster. I shop Heritage only if Paruzzi does not have the part I am looking for...

The customer service is not that great. It seems that the employees, or the hired service centre, are just order takers and do not make a customer feel taken care of. They are more likely to just say sorry we can't do that. For example when I had placed my recent order and I realised I forgot to add an important part to the order and I did not want to initiate another shipping charge for this super light weight item. 1st there was no way to edit my order after placing, nor was there a way to cancel it. (think of Amazon, as they have these options). I called to ask someone if they could help and the answer I received was. "No we can't change orders once they have been placed." I ended up writting back again and someone bent the rules and sent me a link to pay for just the part I missed and add it to the order. Yeah! On this same order there was a wrong item that arrived a dual jet nozzle for the windshield washer on an early beetle. The correct item as shown in the photo for the item ordered is a tear drop shape, and what came was more of an oval shape (different part from later beetles). I have not initiated the refund on this yet, as there is still an item that is outstanding from this order the Bonnet Crest Seal Set SKU: 113-853-611 Backorder Special Order - delivery 12 weeks This item has never shipped yet I received this survey as if the order is completed.

Been a customer for 20 years. Heritage is only a 35 min drive so it’s easy when I need something short notice, however I don’t much care for the collection point in the end of a corridor instead of the shop, but I understand the likely reasons due to Covid and so on, and the shop could be a little bit hit and miss at times anyway as you felt like you were taking staff away from their jobs behind the scenes. The range of items for different price points where available can be useful as repro stuff isn’t always the best quality. If I’m not in a rush I certainly look at the wider market, some specialist suppliers are better for some items than others, while it can also be useful to look at non-specialists as prices are often lower. It’s the price you pay to have the convenience of most things all in one place and easy to find. One thing that’s annoying is these poorly thought out surveys, for instance it asks how I communicated but I didn’t, I just filled in a web returns form, but there’s no option for that. Likewise it asks how quick was the response was, with options

Have been very happy until last order, parts listed as three weeks as special order, after three weeks later told not expected till middle of the following month. Not impressed at all. I would not have purchased and paid upfront as per order if items were listed as over a month and a half waiting time. I have other items in the same order required urgently now stuck waiting and feeling a fool. I should have bought direct from the manufacturer but thought i was doing the right thing supporting heritage on a short wait. Very unhappy

Rubbish for us older guys who prefer to talk on the phone. Won’t buy off you again unless I’m desperate. And I’ve been buying off of you a lot of parts.

I have already written and submitted a review. The conclusion was that the part ordered appeared to be of high quality and was good value. At the other extreme the customer service was inadequate. The robot chat line went into a loop and served no purpose, it was impossible to speak to a real live person and the fact that I have now been asked twice to submmit a review indicates the frustration of dealing with this form of 'customer service'. Given this situation, subject to alternative suppliers, I might be a customer again. Gordon Summers.

Disappointing. I've used VW Heritage since the late 1990s due to their high quality parts selection, knowledge and customer service. However, my recent experiences with them have been disappointing...missed parts from order and a complete lack of communication. A decision has been made by them to remove telephone customer and replace this with online/virtual support. My experience of this is that response are very slow and require multiple requests from the customer to resolve issues. Sadly, they seem to have become another, of many, faceless online retailers, with nothing to differentiate them from the rest.

I’m disappointed having to pay excessive costs with the wrong part coming from UK. I had to pay $200 to have the extra 3’ long odometer cable modified instead of returning the part. HPC listed the part would fit my 88 Scirocco, once I saw the part was incorrect it caused the dilemma of costs just to return it to UK and time to do so. Unfortunately I cannot risk the aforementioned again. It’s not uncommon to make a mistake but living in the US and a foreign company listing a part that didn’t fit my vehicle seems after the fact intricately misleading!

Communication is terrible. Chat closes down very quickly, even when you are waiting for a reply from them. If writing an email, either you dont get a response or it is not possible to write back to a reply. It never really worked for me anyways. Oh! And dont ask two questions in one email. Only one is answered. Items listed sometimes doesnt match delivered or takes a month to arrive. But if I cant get stuff anywhere else they are ok. I quess.
