Thanks for taking the time to review us. We try and despatch items as quickly as possible, in this instance I think the order was despatched via Air Mail to keep the shipping price down as much as possible. International shipping does take a little longer to reach its destination.

There are those who want a pristine classic and there are those that are still running these vehicles because second hand parts where available are cheap. i found the parts expensive and inconsistent in availability, nice coffee, but the feeling my money was being spent on a reception area bigger than my workshop !!!! a better trade pricing might help ive given a normal rating for reasons given above, however I found the staff helpful and pleasant to do business with i would recommend, with the price caviat and would use again if left without a cheaper option.

Thanks for taking the time to give feedback. We try and stay as competitive as possible with prices, but are sometimes governed by availability. In this instance the Headlight Glass for a Corrado is thankfully still available, but only as a Genuine item. If items are available from a reproduction source, we will offer that as a cheaper option.

Thanks for taking the time to review us. We try to supply the best parts possible at a competitive price, some of our items are currently subject to large discounts of between 20-50%. Obviously if you receive an item that isn't correct or isn't whats wanted, we will have the item back for a refund.

Took weeks to arrive and had ordered from somewhere else who delivered within three days and job was done. so really not good that parts took weeks to deliver even though it was not stated!!

Hello Andy, Thanks for taking the time to review us. Sadly some of our 17,000 lines can be out of stock at the time of ordering, we do however try to be as accurate as possible in terms of delivery dates from our suppliers.

Staff always very courteous and obviously want to help but at times ordering parts can be frustrating. ' It would seem however that VW 1303's or VW 1303 Cabriolets have become a bit of a mystery for most members of the staff. Parts available are not always of the original quality. Occasionally parts not available unless prepared to wait a long time. Speed of delivery always excellent. To provide an overall rating is rather sweeping & up to a point, an unfair statement as a result. Glad to have VW Heritage available .

Thanks for taking the time to review us, we value you comments. All our Sales Staff are enthusiasts, but all obviously have there own specialist areas. We have staff that should be able to offer advise relating to 1303 Cabriolets enquiries and if the person you are speaking to isn't sure, they will pass your enquiry over to someone who is more versed. We strive to find good replacement parts from other suppliers, if the Genuine Volkswagen part has gone obsolete or unavailable. Sometimes sadly there is only one company producing a replacement item, hence we can only supply one quality. We do review the quality of our items on a regular basis and are happy to have items back if they are not correct for a refund.

Had to chase delivery and information for items that were on long lead in however always able to find parts I require for my 1970 bay and beetle

Because there was no image available of the Marathon wheel centres I took a punt on what I was paying for. They are fairly deep heavy duty black plastic with no VW emblem on. I didn't expect polished chrome OE parts for £5 a piece but they are a little disappointing. However, with the addition of a VW sticker they suit the cars look just fine and finish the wheels well...and they can't be stolen because they fit in behind the wheel. Please put a picture up ASAP though so people know what they're buying. Thanks.

However with new parts, we don't always have photos readily available although we always like to try and get new parts up on our website as soon as possible for our customers. VW Heritage need to make it clear in the catalogue which parts are quality VW, or at least comparable VW quality, and which are junk. Too many times now have I received parts which are wrong, not as described or as illustrated, don't fit or are simply rubbish. I am relatively new to the VW splitscreen scene but I'm learning, somewhat expensively, who supplies proper parts and who supplies third-rate repro junk. I recently bought, though not from VW Heritage, a set of expensive cargo door seals which were so tough the doors wouldn't close. The original seals were much softer material. A listed wheel bearing I recently purchased from VW Heritage, made in China not surprisingly, was the wrong bearing. It was an 'NU' and not an 'N'. Once installed it could not be extracted if required. The hub kit that came with the bearing was so poor it might have come from a Christmas cracker. The 'O' rings and seal were ringed with mold flashing and the split-pin was mild steel. A quarterlight window frame bought last year was so distorted it had to be changed several times. The one I finally installed is still not the correct geometry. The customer lesson as far as VW Heritage is concerned, and numerous other popular suppliers as well, is that internet purchasing is a highly dodgy business. You need to go in person and inspect the parts over the counter. Take the original part (worn, broken) for comparison.

Hello Paul Thanks for the review. We do try to give as much information as possible in our catalogues and also the website. We try and give detail as to the origin of the part ie where they come from and the quality. Unfortunately many of the items available now are only available as a reproduction parts, hence the quality isn't always as good as the original Volkswagen part when it was available. If this is the case, we are always very honest in our descriptions and reviews. As you are probably aware we have a counter for customers to come and look at the items before purchasing. If a visit to our counter isn't possible and you receive something that you're not happy with, we will have the item back for a refund.

I ordered express delivery and the small parcel took 4 days to be delivered - not exactly express!

Hi Dale, Thank you for the review. We can see you placed the order on Friday and your order was dispatched on the same day. You chose a next working day delivery service so you should have received this on the Monday. However we can see you received your order on the Tuesday due to a delay at our couriers end. We apologise for this and will refund your postage charge for you.

The part I ordered was fine - postage was a bit steep though - added 50% to the total of my order, but I didn't have much choice really

Bought a fuse box for £90 paid for it then found another site with the same Make for 65 so but expensive on vw heritage http://www.classic-vw.co.uk/ce1-fuse-box-171941821d-5190-p.asp

Quick delivery but a very poor product. Would have weighed it in for scrap but I've had bean tins which would be worth more.

We always try to offer the best quality part where possible although sometimes we have to rely on reproduction parts where genuine parts are now no longer available. I'm very happy with the products and the pricing, BUT the delivery time was awful. I ordered some stuff early in the morning on thursday and the package arrived in London next wednesday. I even used your online chat to ask what time of delivery should i expect. I was told that the process should not take more than 3 working days. All of that ruined my plans because i'm not from UK and one friend of mine should've bring the items to me but he left the country before the package has arrived. Now i have to wait couple more months. So, in general i'm slightly disappointed. Other than that, great site!

Thanks for the review and apologies for the issues. Our Free Of Charge UK Delivery is a 3-5 day service which isn't always the best service to opt for if the goods are needed in a hurry. We do however offer a next working day service if the goods are needed very quickly. This is currently just £5.00

Received some parts for my beloved Splitscreen, Service was very good, polite staff who are quite knowledgable and always try their best to help. Some parts are unfortunately far from oem , valve tappet adjusters don't bother buying as the metal is soft and they wear out within fifty miles, light switches are cheap quality and work fine but far from original vw. Drive shaft boots are paper thin rubber and fairly useless. When my van is worth £20k I don't want this sort of quality. Please make proper stuff and charge three times the price for it and I will buy it as will most other buyers

Unfortunately they use an unreliable courier. In this instance the goods were delivered to the billing address, not the delivery address. In the past the goods have been left at the open gate in full view of the street.

I have used heritage quite a lot especially for those hard to find items, but they tend to be my second or third choice these days.The main thing that they need to improve on is their postage. It is too expensive.. I realise that orders over £35 get it free, but a lot of the time I am buying small items as they break or wear out, such as special bolts, fittings or clips. For these small lightweight items Heritage charge £3.95 postage, which seems way over the top. I could buy a bolt or a clip for 50p and then have to pay 8x its value in postage... I am sure there is a better way to do this. A lot of their competitors are beating them on postage and some are now offering free delivery especially the ones who sell on eBay. A lot of their advertised prices look good until you add the postage and they work out expensive, more and more I find what I need a lot cheaper with their other company's. Come on Heritage stop milking us, If amazon and e bay can do free postage, I am sure you can..

Normally I am really impressed with your service, this time I was a little annoyed at how long it took me to receive my bolts. Although out of stock when I ordered them once in stock they took around 2 weeks to arrive. Which I couldn't understand. Good product though just not sent at your usual high standard.
