“Item ordered was fine, and v well packaged. It is now installed and working well. Got caught out by 'Next Day Delivery' option - I didn't read carefully enough to see it only guarantees Next WORKING DAY delivery - so ordering on a Friday morning before a bank holiday Monday got me delivery on the Tuesday morning. I realise that this is probably due to the carrier used, but it's worth noting that I ordered something else from Amazon at the same time, paying a similar amount extra for Next Day Delivery, and they managed to do a true next day delivery - something to consider?”

“Very useful to me as I have a Golf mk2 and a T3 transporter. The site is quick and easy to use. The last item I bought was an alternator which arrived quite quickly, undamaged and seems to be working fine. I bought a windscreen a while back which arrived broken (the delivery man thought it was a bicycle), but a replacement was sent almost immediately. It was very well packed but it could have been better indicated that the content was glass. It was the same delivery man the second time and he cheerfully announced that he had another bicycle for me (he looked a bit sheepish when I informed him that it was a windscreen).”

“I am happy with the quality and incredible delivery speed of the VW Mk2 Golf parts I ordered, BUT am VERY disappointed that I could not take advantage of the free shipping offer that is extended to Australians. I would have ordered a much larger consignment if this had been the case.”

“Choosing an engine built with 100% new parts is an expensive but sensible choice for your beloved VW. Once delivered, tracked order or prior phone call would have been appreciated considering it took two attempts. Also not sure why I had to pay more for delivery of a heavy item considering that I had to unload it! However as I say once delivered I was very pleased. Although I don't understand why the dizzy driveshaft could not be included. This item is freely available, but fitting it to long block when it could have been fitted easier during the build defeats me. Obviously valve clearances need to be set (no where near close!) but why use case sealant to stick rocker box gaskets in place? As I said though I am very pleased. I used old ancillaries to build up the engine, set the timing to TDC, checked everything three times and once oiled up, fuel pump and carb primed, fitted plugs and connected power to the coil and turned the key. It started immediately. I let it run up to temp, connected rev counter, dwell meter and strobe. Adjusted carb, 800rpm, 40 degrees dwell and no advance on timing. I am very pleased.”

Thanks for taking the time to review, we are glad you are happy with your purchase. The distributor drive isn't included as it needs to be installed with the distributor of choice. Yes, as per the detailed set up instructions, value clearances etc. need to be checked prior to running. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
