“Part ordered was fine. Postage was the problem. Overseas postage cost over $30 for the size of a spark plug. Took nearly three weeks to arrive. Poor communications from Heritage parts. What happened to using DHL for overseas orders which arrived within a few days. Will be looking elsewhere now for my spare parts after spending thousands of dollars with your mob.”

“Item arrived within a few days but unfortunately the adhesive on it was dried up & therefore not fit for purpose. Had to go out to find some glue that would fix it in place. You must of had the item in stock for years.”

“E' il secondo ordine che faccio, ma stavolta non sono soddisfatto, il tessuto ordinato non è ancora disponibile, ma non era specificato quando ho fatto l'ordine e ne avrei urgenza, sapendo che non lo avevate a stock magari avrei fatto diversamente, cercate di rimediare velocizzando al massimo l'invio, altrimenti non vedo come posso essere accettabilmente soddisfatto”

“One of the two main VW places I use frequently. I do miss being able to speak to the parts centre in person, I would use Heritage parts more if there was a human I could talk to.”

“My buying experience with heritage is a mixed bag. Several years ago the experience was good when the phone lines were open you could phone, discuss the parts wanted and get them within the next couple of days. Now even though I use part numbers the last couple of orders have had a mix of the right and wrong parts. Again previously you could ring and arrange a return, now with email the only option it takes to long. Finally my last order took nearly a fortnight to arrive, again this has happened several time. All this now makes AUTODOC my first option for parts where previously it was heratage.”

“Heritage has most well known parts and brands but don’t like the back orders part or the setup . I found their communication lacking on dispatch and wait times . On another note posting is free and quick .”

“The product ordered wasn’t a match the fault of my car restorer who advised on which part to order. The email ordering process was not very intuitive but got there in the end.A phone call would have helped greatly. Staff member helpful and did his best.”

“The biggest issue I have is you are very slow to ship orders compared to for example custom and commercial. I place an order with them anytime before close of play and they ship it same day / evening with confirmation email and courier details APC and I get the parts the next day and shipping cost to me is cheaper than you guys. So summary you are slow service and expensive shipping in my opinion.”

“El producto bueno, el plazo de entrega malo, el currier malisimo. DHL parcel no entrega, no es posible contactar con ellos. De haber sabido que la entrega era por DHL parcel no lo hubiese comprado, es mas mientras el currier sea este no voy a comprar nada mas. Saludos”

“Der Support war schnell und freundlich, jedoch war die Lieferzeit mit über einem Monat viel zu lange und das bestellte Rahmenkopf Bodenblech für den VW Käfer war nur für frühere Modelle, was für mich - wie die extrem lange Lieferzeit - bei der Bestellung nicht ersichtlich war.”

“I bought a part that cost $45.00 and shipping was $45.00. The part fit into a small envelope, letter size. Now I avoid ordering from Heritage because of the rediculace amount for shipping. Acually the part wasn't worth $45.00. It was a small rubber seal around the oil cooler openning. But, I do understand parts for the type 4 motor aren't redily available like they used to be.”

Hi Thomas I am sorry for the delay, you have an open enquiry on our system #379822. I have chased this up for you, as my colleague mentioned there had been a delay in our stock transfer. The item was booked back into stock today, so I have asked our warehouse staff to dispatch it for you tomorrow.

“I’m happy that I eventually got the parts I ordered, they were in good condition and reasonably priced. However, when ordering, it stated they were on back order with a 5 week wait. It ended up being nearly 3 months. I did get vague updates, but only when I chased them. Disappointed that updates were not offered when delays were known. My vehicle ended up being off the road for a considerable time longer than anticipated and I could not plan for repairs until I had a clear idea of when parts would arrive.”

“Great source of spares and accessories for my 1978 VW Beetle. Good range, great delivery, great refund service. However, on a couple of occasions recently, I needed to speak to a sales assistant for their expertise in choosing the correct items. But unfortunately, you no longer have them. As a result, I bought elsewhere as they did have knowledgable sales staff to assist with my order. I know you save costs on this modern way but a lot of people with classic cars are like me - a little in the nature side.”
